What is Blade, and who is it for? arrow
Blade is a software solution designed for disaster restoration professionals, helping them streamline job management, billing, and documentation. It is ideal for disaster restoration contractors who need a cost-effective tool integrated with Xactimate and QuickBooks Online.
How does Blade integrate with Xactimate? arrow
Blade allows you to use Xactimate line items within Blade Mobile and Blade Website Apps to document work performed at the job site. Using these highly filtered and easy-to-use line items allows you to create Xactimate invoices easily and seamless as soon as the job is complete. You simply add all work and supplies to Work Performed for the job, then click the Export to Xactimate button on the Work Performed page to automatically create an Xactimate Project and Estimate using your Job and Work Performed data. In addition, when you Complete an Xactimate Estimate and Save and Exit the Xactimate Estimate screen, Blade automatically adds the Xactimate Estimate to an invoice within your Job, complete with all Job Costing data.
How does Blade integrate with QuickBooks Online? arrow
Blade syncs seamlessly with QuickBooks Online, allowing for smooth financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting. Blade keeps QuickBooks Online Customers, Invoices and Payments in sync with Blade in real time. Simply enable the QuickBooks integration on the Account Setting / Account page and then navigate to the Account / Settings / Companies page to select the company you want to integrate and connect to QuickBooks. Designate Income Accounts as prompted. Blade takes care of the rest!
Is Blade available on both desktop and mobile? arrow
Yes. You can use Blade on both desktop and mobile devices, allowing you to manage jobs from anywhere. Log in to both using a single login.
Can I use Blade Mobile without an internet connection? arrow
Yes. Blade will upload and download data from the cloud when you are in range of the internet.
Can I add multiple users to my Blade account? arrow
Yes, all plans allow unlimited users, so your entire team can access the platform without additional user fees.
Can multiple users all login with the same username and password? arrow
Yes, if these users do not login (or stay logged in) at the same time. We strongly recommend that each user has their own username and password to avoid potential data conflicts, and to give you visibility to the work of each person.
How do I add additional users and companies? arrow
Navigate to the Account Settings / User page, and Account Settings / Companies page to add additional users and companies to your account.
Is there a training or onboarding process for new users? arrow
Yes! We offer video tutorials, a help center, and live onboarding sessions to help you and your team get started quickly.
Can I transfer my existing job data into Blade? arrow
Contact us and we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis depending on your current software.
How often does Blade receive updates and new features? arrow
We regularly release updates and improvements based on user feedback. Updates are automatically applied, and we notify users of new features and enhancements.
